The inaugural edition of the Dosti Peshawar Literature Festival (DPLF), held in May 2022 at the Institute of Education & Research, University of Peshawar, marked a monumental beginning for this cultural initiative. Centered around the theme “Localizing the Global,” the three-day festival celebrated Peshawar’s deep-rooted cultural identity while fostering connections between local and global narratives. With an overwhelming response of over 2,800 participants and 11,000 visitors, the festival became a vibrant hub of intellectual exchange, featuring thought-provoking sessions and artistic expressions. This groundbreaking event not only highlighted the region’s rich heritage but also set a dynamic tone for future editions, establishing DPLF as a beacon for literary and cultural celebration in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
